Get ready for a fierce Filipino fashion takeover! FILIPINXT, the platform that has been flexing Filipino creativity and craftsmanship, is officially making its third appearance at New York Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2025 season.
And this time, it’s not just a walk on the runway — it’s a statement.
For Rob Mallari-D’Auria, co-founder of FILIPINXT and Filipino designer-extraordinaire, this isn’t just a personal achievement; it’s a major win for the entire Filipino fashion industry.
“It’s about celebrating Filipino artistry on a global scale,” says Rob, who balances his design career with law and entrepreneurship. “We’re not just showing clothes; we’re showing heart, culture, and the passion of the Filipino people.”
In a fashion world where competition is fierce, being included in NYFW is a game-changer. But for FILIPINXT, it’s more than just getting a seat at the table.
This milestone is a bold statement that Filipino talent deserves to shine on one of the world’s most iconic stages.
“It’s an unparalleled opportunity for Filipino designers to show what they’re made of,” says Richard Estrella, the marketing mastermind behind FILIPINXT.
Today (8 February), at 3 p.m., FILIPINXT will strut its stuff at 4W43, with five incredible Filipino designers bringing their A-game. First up, Bessie Besana, known for her show-stopping formal wear, will flaunt pieces that hug the body and highlight its natural beauty.
Meanwhile, Jasmine Baac, the creator of Bagoyan, will unveil designs that mix contemporary flair with Filipino heritage — think heritage meets haute couture.
Then, there’s Leo Bartolome, the creative genius behind Edited Limited, who upcycles deadstock fabric into contemporary masterpieces, blending Filipino craftsmanship with Japanese-inspired designs. Adante Leyesa, a master of statement accessories, will showcase intricate bags and accessories, using traditional Filipino techniques like beading and embroidery.
And don’t miss Gabby Garcia, the founder of Tagpi, who turned a pandemic passion project into a social enterprise celebrating Filipino weaves and artisan stories.
This all-star lineup is guaranteed to be a feast for the eyes and a celebration of Filipino artistry that will leave you wanting more.
After the show, a curated trunk show by Hwangs Inc. will allow guests to snag exclusive designs and accessories, adding an extra layer of excitement for fashion lovers and collectors alike.
This groundbreaking event is made possible, thanks to the Philippine Consulate General in New York, Kalye NYC, and a list of awesome sponsors including New York Makeup Academy and Angkla Beach Resort.
Tickets are now on sale, so don’t miss the chance to be part of history.
FILIPINXT’s NYFW debut is proof that Filipino talent is ready to take over the global fashion scene.
Watch out, world — Filipino fashion is here to stay.
