The only thing better than a great dinner is eating for a great cause.
This exclusive dinner will feature 6 different courses, wine pairings, live music, art demonstrations and a silent auction. Tickets cost $200 each, as all proceeds will be donated to No Kid 86’d, Hesse’s recently-formed charity that helps local at-risk youth.
Reservations can be made by calling 727-273-6226 and Paypal-ing $200 to @nokid86d. Fo’Cheezy’s social media says that all of its seats are almost full, so we recommend RSVPing to next month’s benefit as soon as possible.
The spread for this charity dinner is far from Fo’Cheezy’s casual sandwich menu, and includes upscale dishes like guajillo braised pork belly and plantain fritters, butternut squash tortenilli-duck confit and beef tournedos with bone marrow gremolata. The full menu can be viewed on the restaurant’s Instagram.
The event flyer states that No Kid 86’d, a charity Hesse recently founded with Fo’Cheezy co-owner Craig Monroe, “provides needs and services to the at-risk kids of the Bay.” According to the St. Pete Catalyst, Fo’Cheezy allocates 2% of all sales to their charity, in addition to encouraging customers to donate.
Hesse, a St. Pete native, is known for his stints on popular cooking shows like “Hells Kitchen” and Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay,” in addition to the drastic weight loss he underwent a few years ago. The reality star and chef returned to his hometown in March 2020 to open the first location of his gourmet grilled cheese chain Fo’Cheezy Twisted Meltz.
In addition to downtown St. Pete’s storefront, Fo’Cheezy has a flagship location on St. Pete Beach at 6305 Gulf Blvd. and a food truck that slings its prized sandwiches at events and festivals across Tampa Bay.
